Second of all:
This series is seriously preeeeety and shiny and oooh the angst!
It takes a little bit to wind up, and then animation, though pretty characters, is mostly basic stuff.
But the story line is love...and so are some of the lines
e.g. "I'm you dog...your mad dog"
Ok, so it doesn't have the same sort of impact when you can't see Naoe trying to rape Takaya, but the potential is there.
It's the love hate relationship between Naoe and Takaya/Kagatora(with the backdrop of cool shiny powers) that makes this anime.
...and then they have further angsting in the OVAs...and the animation improved heaps.
ahh I love bastard-driven-to-insanity-by-his-lust/love!Naoe
...and clueless-and-innocent!Takaya mixed with bastard-and-sadistic-and-powerful-but-victimised!Kagatora is soo much love.
The only things that could have made it better was a bit more resolution to Naoe and Takaya's relationship, as was eventually produced in the 30+ novels that MoB was based on.
(anyone know where I can get my hands on them?...and if I do, can anyone translate it for me?)
yes, MoB is the reason for my current obsession with angst, which directly relates to my inability to be productive for any of the million and one PoT fics that I have whirling around (as they're almost entirely crack and I haven't worked out a way to make crack and angst one and the same yet...and most people will then turn around and call it a travesty)

It's so pretty...and Dio is THE LOVE!
So very random and annoying, yet cheerful and intelligent
and so lusting after Claus' assand he's sooo very very fun.I don't know how you manage to convert angst urgings into crack. All my muses are screaming for blood and emotional pain, but angst is HARD...though I am now feeling slightly more crackish as I was rewatching some of the best episodes last night
(what I say may not be coherent as I haven't actually been to bed yet)

Really really want the novels. They sound really interesting...if a bit long winded (30+ novels geez)

They had 'Alone in My King's Harem' when I was up there a couple of weeks ago. Didn't get it since mum was with me.
I'll on msn right now and I'll try to make sure that I get on later, maybe around 11 or 12 if I can. I'll make sure to bribe or kick my brother off the comp.
