( Darn you ambigous answers. )
In other news...yes I know I still fail at updating. I've picked up more work shifts and am starting to try and pull together my project outline for my honours. Also banging my head against the idiosyncrasies of computers (particularly those which run windows OS on top of the apple OS) *sighs* (9hours straight today with only minor progress)
I'm around on occasion...and occasionally manage to reply to people's posts.
But I still love you all.
I swear!

Tardiness is a different sort of disease
Dec. 24th, 2007 12:51 amAs per usual with my family, I haven't managed to run on time with my christmas plans this year.
This was mostly helped along by my older sisters "absolutely necessary" party, which involved many days of physical labour and as much time as possible to retreat into sleep.
Anyway, presents still haven't been sent off. I'm off to the post office with them tomorrow.
Sorry about lateness...then again they aren't exactly christmas presents, more like holiday appreciation gifts anyway (that come wrapped in xmas wrapping paper).
Most of you should get them within a month (maybe 2 since Canada can't seem to get packages to people in less than that)
Oh
julzbat we need to meet up soon. I'm working the 29th, but am otherwise free. Let me know your plans...
EDIT: GAH! Slept in and managed to miss the post. Guess I'll be sending them off after everything opens again in a couple of days. Sorry

I love the end of the uni year.
I am now officially back around.
No more uni, assignments or (hopefully) stress for the next 3 months.

Hee!
Heyya all my wonderful flist.
Been waaay too long as per usual.
But...JOY!...have completed my last assessment.
...now I just have to look forward to the exams.
;_;
So, umm, I am woefully behind on everyone and their life, and I feel really bad about that...however, I had to strictly ignore the internet to manage the one-after-another line up of assessments they piled on us the last 4 weeks.
I will endeavour to be better (although I know you've heard that before)...still working on catching up on sleep, and am going to get myself out of my house, for the first non-uni related thing I've done for a month, tomorrow. Will then work on replying to any comments I've ignored that may still be relevant and not over a month and a half old.
♥'s all of you.
Hope you aren't too stressed, and I'll be talking to you all pretty soon.

I had this image of how my unibreak time would be spent. I was going to update this lj lots update my fic lj lots and talk to people.
Now, with only 1 week left until uni starts again, I've managed none of them.
*stews in own hopelessness*
I think that pert of my problem is that no matter how much I like people, want to talk to people, interact with them etc. I find it difficult to nerve myself up, especially to connect with people on a personal level and it all becomes a bit of a task (not that this means I love the lot of you any less, just that my shyness is truly a hinderance at times).
Anyway, now my goal before uni starts had been thoroughly downgraded to clearing out my room from last uni session, getting my full driver's license and completing an already 80% complete KKM fic.
*shakes head*
Oh well, I've spent the last week and a bit playing with my family which was quite nice, celebrated my Dad's birthday (he refused my offer of birthday dirt -_-) and played in the city for th day, taking the following interesting photos while at the "Save the Earth" or some such exhibit currently touring the Darling Harbour.
( Unique Sydney skyline without photoshop )
Oh, and I also got a couple of shifts at work (so I didn't completely screw myself over), but then I got "talked to" because I managed to wear dark navy blue pants instead of black ones and my formal black shoes have always been a type of black sneaker due to joint problems. Woot! A bundle of fun...though it does mean I now have money. Mmm, money.
Current obssessions fandom wise=
Torchwood/Doctor Who (/Captain Jack Harkness...What? >_> He's shiny! Very very shiny...and I really must stop obsessing over him. I think it's his smile. It's so happy-making, how can I resist?)
Kyou Kara Maou (though my muse for it is still decidely lazy)
Gintama (who can resist cute men with swords and UST and canon crack)
One Piece (what can I say? I'm a sucker for shounen adventures, esp. with fun characters like a rubber man

May. 31st, 2007 11:10 amSoooo....I haven't been on lj (and actually tawled my friends list) for months and I finally have the time to do so and what's popped up...?
*FanLib
*LJ strikethrough 2007 (like the name BTW to whoever coined it)
Lucky enough, LJ seem to be sorting out the problem and communicating with fans. Restoration of those journals actually deleted mistakenally will be back. No more need for fandom panic I hope.
As for FanLib, not my cup of tea, doesn't even sound like a good idea. Agree with some of the abject horror people have expressed, disagree with a lot of the hysteria. (Am most amused when I was trawling through their forums that a lot of the people who were up and up saying "Why aren't you guys supporting it like us?" were young teens and college students with quite a few of them new to fandom and "proud of it")
Well, now onto the reason I was actually going to update my lj.
I *big dramatic drum roll* have finished with uni for the session.
Still 2 more weeks until exams are over. But as of now, no more assignments.
*big grin*
This will probably change in to a vaguely bored and stressed look as exams approach
Oh, and the best part...
I was running on 3.5hours of sleep yesterday (bed at 2:30, up at 6am...with a major rush on to get as much done before the power went off in our neighbourhood until 5 that afternoon and then a rush to uni to stake a claim on a uni computer), stressed to the brink with an assignment worth 40% of my final mark counting down the hours and an exam worth 25% counting down the hours even faster. So I finally had to scurry off to my exam and walked past a mirror...
I looked so psychotically happy
So weird. I was kind of expecting abject horror, not evil glee.
Oh yeah.
Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End *thumbs up*
Drove my sibling to see it with
julzbat (on 3.5hours sleep and my older sister was complaining she was tired on a full 8 hours...sheesh!) Made the day all good and happy and full of Jack.

Well, it seems to be all good news for me at the moment.
Just finished 2 major, grueling assignments. *fingers crossed marks wise*
And the good fortune of ANZAC day public holiday(as ironic as that is for the remembrance of a tragedy is)means that due to reshuffling of the timetable I don't have any due for at least 3 weeks.
Just an exam this week and an exam next week. (-_-)
Oh well, at least it's finally given me some time to get around to some writing that I've really wanted to be doing. It's been too long since I've been able to sit down and really commune with any of my fandoms.
