I had this image of how my unibreak time would be spent. I was going to update this lj lots update my fic lj lots and talk to people.
Now, with only 1 week left until uni starts again, I've managed none of them.
*stews in own hopelessness*
I think that pert of my problem is that no matter how much I like people, want to talk to people, interact with them etc. I find it difficult to nerve myself up, especially to connect with people on a personal level and it all becomes a bit of a task (not that this means I love the lot of you any less, just that my shyness is truly a hinderance at times).
Anyway, now my goal before uni starts had been thoroughly downgraded to clearing out my room from last uni session, getting my full driver's license and completing an already 80% complete KKM fic.
*shakes head*

Oh well, I've spent the last week and a bit playing with my family which was quite nice, celebrated my Dad's birthday (he refused my offer of birthday dirt -_-) and played in the city for th day, taking the following interesting photos while at the "Save the Earth" or some such exhibit currently touring the Darling Harbour.

Oh, and I also got a couple of shifts at work (so I didn't completely screw myself over), but then I got "talked to" because I managed to wear dark navy blue pants instead of black ones and my formal black shoes have always been a type of black sneaker due to joint problems. Woot! A bundle of fun...though it does mean I now have money. Mmm, money.

Current obssessions fandom wise=
Torchwood/Doctor Who (/Captain Jack Harkness...What? >_> He's shiny! Very very shiny...and I really must stop obsessing over him. I think it's his smile. It's so happy-making, how can I resist?)
Kyou Kara Maou (though my muse for it is still decidely lazy)
Gintama (who can resist cute men with swords and UST and canon crack)
One Piece (what can I say? I'm a sucker for shounen adventures, esp. with fun characters like a rubber man

Ahh, being social. How much effort it takes. But we are here and love you no matter how much time you actually have online!

The last picture amuses me. Nude beach ftw?

alksjfldk ::fails at comments:: My brain is so tired must be all the HP. Easy to blame.

Social is...weirdly exhausting. Person-to-person it can be even worse...definitely requiring rest periods for rejuvenation between stints.
*hugs hard*
I love you and everyone else on my lack of communication in no way reflects a lack of feeling. Makes me very pleased that you won't hold it against me.

...the nude beach amused me alot (even more so that my mum got me to take a picture of it for my dad :D) If you zoom in on the image enough you can actually see the sunburn lines and everything.

Brain dead just might be contagious. HP, uni, sick...all contributing to the cause...
I know you're now on hiatus, but let me know how your concentration period for LSATs, etc. turns out. please.

Was wondering where you ran off to. :D Haha, I'm reserved in both RL and EL realms, though I get very talkative when it comes to people I'm close to (and that's not a lot). I like you too Arccie! Don't be shy around me!

I adore the first picture, its like a scene from a harry potter movie! :D So cool. The second one's pretty too. The third one is... well, a massive lot of naked people never appealed much to me (understatement). Although I am impressed with the detail-- I can see the tan lines of a lot of people. I still want to see pictures of YOOOOUUUU. ::tugs at your sleeve forlornly::

Yay for jobs and money! :D Good luck on your new uni term!

Sorry. I'm just really distracted from well...everything at the moment. Mostly relating into my realisation that I only have a short time left at uni and no idea what to do with myself.
*squeezes exuberantly*
I do enjoy talking to people, especially once I know them somewhat. I'm working onmy shyness. Or at least I try to...I'm just never sure how to keep a conversation running...if I can even manage to get one started in the first place.

I absolutley adore the first one. It has to be my favourite of the lot. Am weirdly fascinated by the contrasting colours. It's a pity I couldn't capture the true glory of the picture. It was so vibrant with metallic sheens...and just gorgeous. It's amazing to think that it is an aerial photgraph of an actual event (a lave and ice flow). *sparkles over shiny pretty*
The naked people picture was actually taken for my mum so she could give it to my dad...>_>. The image just amuses me muchly because of everyone's sunburns. Fun picking out the people who forgot the sunscreen.
*gets tugged sideways*
I know I know...but I finally got my act together, warmed up my scanner, pushed my internet into gear and created a picspam post. It's my most recent lj entry...and I have supplied you with a link in another comment already.

Jobs and money is very good. Will certainly make things easier...althoughwith the way uni is shaping up for this session I'm not sure how I'm going to slot any me time inbetween them.
*hoards luck* Thanks. I am in definite need of some luck.

OMFG. That first photo is GORGEOUS. The second one too. *_* Do you know what the hell created the effect for the first one though?

I adore that first photo...and actually even love the base image before circumstance gave it cool special effects.
The images are actually photos I took of other images on display in Sydney at themoment promoting "Life on Earth" or some such. Some of them are absolutley fantastic. Really dramatic and just amazing to look at.
The base of the first image is a photo of an ice and lava river flow...really stunning to look at in and of itself...but I noticed that when I took a photo of it I got reflections from behind me (and I kept taking the weird reflection photos until I ended up with a bunch of the city skyline overlaying these wonderful aerial photographs)

asdlfkjd ::smacks self:: Between the last week of work and the Reborn fandom exploding... no excuses. orz

So basically the "circumstances" that caused that super awesome effect to happen were the layering of other photo reflections? THAT'S SO AWESOME. Cause, seriously, I've never seen anything like that before (not digitally enhanced at least). It seriously looks like ether running through the air.
