When all is said and done...
Jun. 30th, 2006 12:36 amSUCCESS!!
Managed to get the defunct computer working long enough to pull of essential bits and pieces that I really really didn't want to lose, through the use of an industrial fan blowing directly into the CPU casing.
So there you have it. The way to cure overheating computers (if only temporarily) is to put an industrial fan to work.
This really is the last straw though.
When it gets back from being fixed, I'll have to make sure to steal my mother's cpu which she promised to me ages ago anyway.
...I really do wonder if I should bother to update this journal at all. It's not like anyone's reading it, or at all interested.
Oh well, I suppose it's just another aspect of inasnity that not only do I enjoy talking to myself, I also enjoy writing to myself.
Oh and a piece of interesting information for you all...or just for me, by staying up all night and sleeping in the middle of the day your body requires less sleep. I don't know why, it just works. The science of it is very iffy
Ja.

on 2006-07-01 06:44 am (UTC)Even if I usually only update sporadically and no one replies I'm just keeping it for the sake of it.
Plus when I'm not in utter squee mode it helps me with my serioues writing.
I don't mind no comments, it's just you sort of expect at least 1 comment from 1 of your friends within 5 journal entries.
*shrugs*
*is happily squished*
Hugs are greatto send around.

on 2006-07-01 10:31 am (UTC)Don't mind me.
I'm just being whiny because I have to play musical computers at the moment.
...and it's not like I usually update the journal anyway, so the phone's a better option under those circumstances anyway.
Speaking of communication...is thursday a still good day for us to get together and play next week, and PoTC2 the week after...
Am so very relieved over the salvage operation. Even if I now have 3 computers with all my stuff spread across them.

on 2006-07-15 03:20 am (UTC)I was just sort of wondering where al my friends have gone.
I do the same thing, where I have long gaps between reading my friends list occasionally.
Though I do try and make my presence know once in a while, just so people know I'm not dead.
*definitely not a pointed stare*
:P
How's your own fic writing going?
Will try to run into you again on msn. Sorry about Thursday, Dad's computer auto signed in despite the fact that I wasn't there all afternoon.
Glad to see you around again though.
