I think 'J' might be the devil's letter.
...or at least people associate it as such.
Have you noticed that when people are making up angel names they don't generally have a j in them.
I've come acroos 0 angel names with J in them, although there might be some with J as the first letter like "Jariel" or something (ugh, poor angel if there is such a one)
You also don't tend to see Z or O as part of angel names...Good Omens Aziraphale might be the exception here for Z and as for O...There's Metatron, but I thought that was more a title than a name.
Hmph.

Thankyou so much for th elists. It's really interesting to pore through them. Feel so sorrt for some of them, they've been named somethign aweful.

Hmm 8 devils with J in them to 4 angels with J...interesting ratio still.

...but I was actually talking about the names of angels people make up, the "common people's" angels have a tendency not to have those letters in them (in the examples I've come across reading so far)

*shrugs* No I think you do have a point. Personally? I've noticed that angel names tend to be more pronounceable, more likely to have rounded sounds or vowels, where as for demon names people tend to go for jaggered, harsh, complicated. So when you have weird combinations of z's and j's it's far more likely to be a demon than an angel.

Zeruel...that's a sort of strange name for an angel isn't it? Sounds kind of intimidating...an thus the angel of might thingy probably.
