arccieOk, let's kick things off.
First of all, I have to recommend Kusatta Kyoushi no Houteishiki.
Reasons for recommendation:
1. ...it is not basically a pwp (it better not be with 10 volumes...can you imagine 10 volumes of just random smexing?)
2. While the artwork isn't the prettiest thing you'll ever see, it's well drawn and pretty cute.
3. It has humour!!!
4. The story follows the development of relationships of 3 couples (the two male/male couples much more then the one het couple) over about 8 years in a somewhat beleiveable way (...there is very few of these stories that could ACTUALLY be labelled realistic so it gets bonus points on the attempt)
5. There is role reversal of the power in the relationship.
Ok...5 should be more than enough, but if not I will entice you with this pic that just amuses me too much, under the cut.
...now that's what you call lovestruck.

Secondly, I have to say I absolutely adore Dragon's Voice.
It's published by Tokyo Pop and it's just too good to pass up.
It's the story of a boy whose voice is basically labelled a toad's voice, as he joins an already established band as they attempt to reach true stardom.
Reasons for recommending:
1. Pretty boys.
2. The very very pretty boys.
3. The story is cute and fun, and while not the most indepth story (and basically pretty unbelievable)it has its fair share of interesting story points.
4. It's entiely too amusing.
5. The main character is full of snark!!!
Hope you enjoy them as much as me.

I have looked at some Yami no Matsuei, but I keep getting horror stories about Viz translations.
I've got the first 5 volumes scanlated and I'd be interested in reading more scanlations if you know where to find them...(*flutters lashes*)
I'm also getting distracted by Hands Off...story of psychic boys where one has the talent to enhance the abilities of other psychics by touching him, and then you have the anti-social cousin who used to be the best friend but refuses to get close to the main character except in moments of danger where he panics over the others safety.
...Preeeety!

on 2005-11-10 04:08 am (UTC)There's 6 vol of Here is Greenwood, I haven't read... as well as 5 vol of GSeed and 9 vol of evangelion...
They're ones my mom liked more and I just never attempted it (why does any form of mecca turn me off... it really does).
I've only bought YnM, and while I don't like Viz.. it was YnM, I have a Hisoka obession... so yeah. And Vol 8 *_*... Tsuzuki and the severed blood licking, the disturbing hotness!
I've been following Hands Off now for awhile. So very lovely *pets*. I read too much -_- my stash is HUGE

So you don't like Gundam Seed?
Oh, I do love Hisoka. He's my favourite characterof YnM. I think it has something to do with the cold bitchy attitude and the preety green eyes, and the sword fighting.

I've read Demon Diary, I only have volumes 2 and 3 left to buy now. (I read them all, and then since then I've bought one volume [starting at the beginning and then the end of the series] from the series each time I go manga shopping in the city)
